About Us

Before its renovation in 2004, the luxurious Meadowview Cottage, used to accommodate the shippon (milking parlour) of Trelash Farm, which has been in the Bolt family since 1961. Roger was born and brought up here and for many years worked the 300+ acre farm with his parents, Pam and Tom.

Today Roger, with his wife Debbie and their two young children, Becky and Tom, live in the old farmhouse and run a 30-acre smallholding. Pam still lives in the hamlet only a few hundred yards away. So when you arrive at Meadowview Cottage you can be sure of a truly warm Cornish welcome.

Debbie explains what makes Meadowview Cottage so special:
“Many old farm yard buildings that have been renovated to provide holiday accommodation are attached and all overlook a central yard area with communal garden amenities. Whereas Meadowview Cottage sits alone within its own very private landscaped gardens, overlooked and interrupted by no-one which mean that our visitors have exclusive enjoyment of the many facilities, including the gardens and meadows.”

Roger’s view about life in this little Cornish hamlet is:
“Having travelled far and wide, in my opinion, there is no better place for my family to live. Being able to get to the beach or walk the moors in minutes and being surrounded by beautiful countryside year round is a privilege and one which we are very happy to share with those who choose to stay at Meadowview Cottage.”
